I am not an Apple Pie lover, but the French Apple Pie recipe is one of my favorites. If you're looking for a light and airy dessert, try the Crushed Pineapple Pie recipe, the recipe makes two (using a deep dish pie crust - if you can only find the regular sized crusts, you will need three), so you can freeze one for later. The Soda Cracker Pie is a very old recipe and tastes like Apple Pie to me. And the Buttermilk Pie - wow, what can I say. It is very rich, so small slices are in order, but I always have to make an extra one of these because everyone takes so many small slices.
