Spicy Grilled Shrimp

1 1/2 pounds frozen deveined shrimp
1 tsp chili power
1 tbls vinegar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic flakes
1 tsp salt
1 tsp basil
1 tbls fresh mint OR 1 tsp dried mint
3/4 cup salad oil

In a bowl, blend together chili powder, vinegar, black pepper, garlic flakes, salt, basil and mint. Stir in the oil and mix until well blended. Pour over the shrimp; cover dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least four (4) hours or overnight. Thread the shrimp on skewers and grill over charcoal for 6 to 10 minutes, turning once and basting liberally with the marinade. Or arrange unskewered shrimp on broiler rack and broil in the oven turning once and basting well.
